Worship in Church - National Lockdown
In light of the National Lockdown, and the new variant of COVID-19 circulating, it is with a heavy heart that the Churchwardens, supported by the PCC, have now decided to suspend public worship in Leybourne Church until at least the end of February. In a letter we have received from Bishop James and Bishop Simon we were advised that many churches in our Diocese had already put in place formal dispensations from the provisions of Canon Law in relation to public worship and that others, may also wish to do so. With the increasing spread of the virus in this area we feel this is the most appropriate response and we should abide by the ‘stay at home’ message at this time to keep one another safe.
We can worship our risen Lord from home as our Sunday services will continue at 10.30am online, by Zoom. Please see the link for joining below, which is also detailed on the Church website where you can download the Order of Service.
If you are unable to join our online services please remember “Daily HOPE” the free, 24 hours a day, phone line on 0800 804 8044 where you can hear hymns, reflections and prayers.
