The Leybourne community, in normal times, holds an informal Act of Remembrance at 11am on 11 November at the War Memorial and a formal Act of Remembrance at 11am after the Remembrance Sunday Service.

This year there will be a short Act of Remembrance limited to 6 people after Church on Remembrance Sunday on 8th November at 11am. Recorded calls will be played. The PCC is not asking for a temporary road closure.  To do so would only attract a crowd in breach of current Government guidelines. We would ask Leybourne council members, individuals, families and uniform groups in the community to consider laying wreaths/Remembrance crosses in socially distanced groups of six or less on either 8th or 11th November.  Whilst the 11th hour is significant the timing of laying wreaths is not set in stone. So, to ensure social distancing, groups should stagger their Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial on both days.
